The European Foresight Monitoring Network: Collection of EFMN Briefs Collection of EFMN Briefs Part 1
The European Foresight Monitoring Network (EFMN) is an initiative inspired and financed by the European Commission in the framework of the Foresight Knowledge Sharing Platform. It was started in 2004 as a service to foresight practitioners and policy makers in Europe and beyond. The EFMN approach is based on the continuous process of monitoring and collecting data on foresight exercises conducted not only in Europe, but in other regions of the world as well. This information is collected using experts within the international foresight community. One of the tasks of the network is the production of Foresight briefs. These are short 3-page descriptions of interesting, recent, or ongoing foresight exercises and forward looking studies.
